William J. “Bill” Goraczkowski, age 59 of Delavan, passed away suddenly at his home on Monday, May 30, 2022.
Memorial services will be held at 12:30pm at Faith Lutheran Church in Delavan on Sunday, July 10, 2022. There will be a time of fellowship and memory sharing after the service.
Bill was born on October 4, 1962 in Mankato to Alvin and Janice (Hoppe) Goraczkowski. He atteofnded and graduated from Delavan High School. Bill, also called “Willie”, worked as a truck driver for most of his life. He also worked several years as a nursing assistant, among various other jobs. On June 6, 1992, Bill married Betty Bergren in Delavan. Together the couple was blessed with two children, Miranda and Alvin.
Bill enjoyed working on cars, collecting magazines and model cars, and attending car shows. When Alvin was young, Bill and Alvin enjoyed many rides in the semi-truck together. He loved his family – especially his grandkids. Bill would often take them for rides in his Corvette and Camaro. He will be missed by so many.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Betty; his children, Miranda (Tyler) Larsen of Blue Earth and Alvin (Katie) Goraczkowski of Blue Earth; sister, Theresa (Don) Stark of Shakopee; grandchildren, Ryker, Millena, Elizabella, and Athyna, plus one on the way; nieces and nephews, Kathleen Baumann, Kevin Stark, and Jaxon Stark; and many more friends and family.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are preferred to the family.
