Tom Alleven, age 53 of Blue Earth passed away Friday October 30, 2020 at his home. A private family Mass will be held at 10:30 Saturday November 7, 2020 at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church with Fr. Greg Parrott officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Winnebago. Following burial, all are invited to attend a public celebration of life from 2-4pm at the United Methodist Church in Winnebago. Those not attending the service are encouraged to watch the livestream on our website.
Thomas John was born January 21, 1967 to Tony and Leta (Lust) Alleven in Winnebago, MN. He graduated from Granada-Huntley High School in 1985. On June 24, 1989 he married Julie Boesl, they later divorced but were blessed with two sons, AJ and Jesse.
Tom had a passion for many things, including Harley Davidson’s, football, cars and water skiing. He was a very detail oriented, hardworking man who enjoyed detailing and fixing up cars to sell, driving semi for local businesses and listening to AC/DC. Once Tom started a project or task, he was one to get it done. But nothing brought him more joy than spending time with his family and friends. Although he may not have shown it in the traditional sense, he was a very loving, caring and sincere man who will be missed by many.
Left to cherish his memory are his sons; AJ (Kim) of Winnebago and Jesse (Alesha) of Ft. Worth, TX. His parents Tony and Leta of Winnebago, sister Tamara (Tom) Haight of Rochester and Tara (Brent) Collins of Minnetrista. Nieces; Ashley (Dan) Stensland, Kathryn and Kristin Collins, nephews; Seth and Eli Haight as well as many other extended family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents; Anton and Bertha Alleven and Virgil and Rosalia Lust and his brother Tim, along with several aunts and uncles.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Faribault County Humane Society or Yellow Ribbon would be greatly appreciated.
