Steven Allen Karge, 61, of Frost, passed away at Abbot Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis on Friday, June 15, 2018. Funeral Services will be held at 11AM on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at United Lutheran Church of Frost, MN, where Steve was a lifelong member. Rev. Arne Halbakken and Rev. Robert Roettger presiding. Visitation will be held from 4-7PM on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Patton Funeral Home of Blue Earth and one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery of Blue Earth. Steven was born on March 30, 1957 to Arnold and Marvis (Loge) Karge in Blue Earth. He graduated from Frost High School in 1975 with the honor of earning All American in basketball his senior year. Steve loved spending time visiting and sharing his sense of humor with his family and friends. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. For over twenty years, he was a member of the Frost Volunteer Fire Department. In his later years, Steve found peace through gardening and bird watching. He was an avid reader of non-fiction military history books. His greatest joys in life were his family, especially his granddaughters. Steve is survived by his children, Beau (Jennifer) and Cale (Annalise); grandchildren, Dakota and Delaney Karge; parents, Arnold and Marvis; sister, Susie (Bob) Loge, Kathy (D.J.) Anderson; brother, David (Melodie); and many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Steve is preceded in death by his grandparents; uncles, Loren Loge and Donald Folven; close cousin and friend, Gary Folven. “You can’t always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you just might find, you get what you need. “
