While maintaining social distancing guidelines, we are now able to gather for visitations and services. The use of face masks by attendees is recommended, and we will continue taking the necessary steps to keep our facility clean. For those who prefer or require continued precautions, webcasting and/or livestreaming is available in most situations. Shawn Nicholson, 43 of Blue Earth passed away at his home Thursday June 25, 2020. A visitation will take place Thursday July 9, 2020 from 5-7pm at Patton Funeral Home, service will begin at 7pm with Rev. Russ Jacobsen officiating. Shawn Paul Nicholson was born February 28, 1977 in Blue Earth to Timothy and Charlene (Robb) Nicholson. The oldest of three boys. He graduated from high school in 1995. After spending a year in St. Cloud, he moved back home and stayed in the area. He worked at Telex for several years and then transitioned to YSI in Elmore. He was a very social person, enjoyed hanging out with friends and family, watching movies, listening to music, playing games or camping. He was always known as the prankster and jokester of the bunch, there was never a dull moment with Shawn around and it seemed he always had a joke ready and waiting for every circumstance or occasion. Left to cherish and remember are his mother Charlene of Blue Earth; brothers, Nathan (Amber) Nicholson of North Mankato, Daniel Nicholson of Swea City, IA; nieces, Maygan and Eleanor; nephew Isaiah as well as many other family and friends. Shawn is preceded in death by his father Timothy and both paternal and maternal grandparents. In following with the CDC guidelines and the safety of everyone, the family asks that all who attend please wear a mask and maintain social distancing.
