Scott Jeppesen

September 23, 1959 — December 1, 2024

Blue Earth

Scott Jeppesen, age 65 of Blue Earth passed away Sunday December 1, 2024 at UHD. A memorial visitation will be from 1-3pm Thursday December 5 at Patton Funeral Home with a brief prayer service at 1:30. Online condolences can be left at www.pattonfh.com

Scott was born September 23, 1959 to George and Marjorie Jeppesen. He grew up on a farm in Eden Prairie where his family raised cattle and horses. Later, he worked as a welder and manufacturing industries until he retired. Scott enjoyed fishing, being outdoors, garage sales, old westerns, classic rock, the Christmas season, Ford trucks, helping neighbors get their lawnmowers started, target shooting, knife collecting (his wife found this strange, too. He said, “it’s in case of a zombie apocalypse”).

Scott was rough around the edges and loved to “embellish” a story. And of course, he smoked, drank and swore on special occasions. On holidays he won a blue ribbon for his 5-star turkey gravy, and no one knew that chicken livers tasted good until he brought them. His secret…wrap them in bacon.

Scott is survived by his son, Joshua Jeppesen, daughter, Georgie (Keith) Senart, step-daughter Laura Weber, granddaughters, Charlotte and Evangeline, his sisters; Sharon (Duane) Schmidt and Sandy (Steve) Gilderhus as well as many nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.

He will be missed by his family of four stray cats especially Whiskers, whom he fell for at the pound, and his wife Nancy of 22 years who encouraged him to give God a second chance.
