Sandra Shure, age 82 formerly of Frost passed away Monday October 21, 2019 at Colonial Manor in Lakefield, MN. Funeral services will be at 11am Thursday October 24 at the United Lutheran Church in Frost with Rev. Arne Halbakken officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday October 23 from 5-7pm at Patton Funeral Home in Blue Earth and continuing one hour before the service at the church. Burial will be at United Lutheran Cemetery.
Born August 2, 1937 in Bricelyn, MN to Cleon & Sarah Larson. She graduated from Frost High School.
Sandra worked in Fairmont, MN as a telephone operator right out of school. She met Ronald Shure at a dance and never looked back as they were married February 2, 1957. Sandra and Ronnie moved to Frost, MN where they raised their family. Daughters Vicky Nelson, Susie Bartels, and son Mike Shure. Sandra worked at Telex Communications for 32 years before retiring in Blue Earth, MN. She then decided to work part-time at Express Diagnostics and Arend’s Sale Barn.
A devoted member of United Lutheran Church in Frost, Sandra enjoyed her faith and her friends at church whom brought her much comfort throughout her 82 years of life. She was active in attending ladies circle, quilting, and various church groups.
Sandra always loved to see her six grandchildren and her 13 great grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters, Vicky & Tim Nelson of rural Blue Earth and Susie & Terry Bartels of Spirit Lake, IA, her son Michael & Holly Shure of Arlington, MN; sister Delores & Lloyd Kraushaar of Albert Lea, MN. As well as other extended family and friends.
She was proceeded in death by her husband Ronald Shure, parents Cleon & Sarah Larson, brothers Wayne, Curtis, & Neil Larson and her in-laws Martin & Winnie Shure.
