Ronald Nauman

Ronald Milton Nauman, age 94, passed away peacefully on Monday February 20^th 2023, at St Luke’s Lutheran Care Center in Blue Earth, MN. A Celebration of life will be gathered for Ronald on Tuesday, February 28^th at Patton Funeral Home. Visitation will be at 12:00pm with a Funeral service to follow at 1:00pm. Interment will be held at Riverview Cemetery in Elmore, MN.

Ron was born February 29^th,1928 in rural Elmore. The son of Claude and Elsie (Cahoon) Nauman. Brother of Vivian Calcutt and Bernice Krosch. Ronald attended school until the 8^th grade, and decided to help his father on the family farm. He married Beverly Rasmussen on August 19, 1950 in Austin, MN and she then became his right-hand lady on the farm, as well as raising three girls, until he retired in 1993. Together they were members of the Elmore United Methodist Church, were both caretakers at the Riverview Cemetery in Elmore. Ron also worked at the Blue Earth rest stop and at the Elmore Nursery during the Christmas season.

He enjoyed farming, fishing, gambling, and gardening. He also loved to play practical jokes on people to see how much the story would get stretched.  Ron always had an appetite for Pizza Ranch chicken legs and ice-cream. He cherished many camping trips and vacation memories with his family. Most of all, Ron absolutely adored spending time with his grandchildren.

Left to cherish such wonderful memories are his daughters Mavis (Gene) Huber of Elmore, and Carol (Leonard) Herme of Wells; Grandchildren, Paul (Michele) Huber, Christy (Brig Gen Randy) Oakland, Amy (Ladonna) Mielke, Holly (David) Hoerth, David Huber, Rebecca (Manuel) Montoya, Jason (Janica) Edwards; 14 great grandchildren, Morgan Huber, Mathew and Samuel Oakland, Benjamin, Connor and Anna Hoerth, Diego, Alex, Cierra, Morgan and Noah Montoya, Ayla, Levi and Aisley Edwards.

Ron is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Beverly, daughter Mary, and his two sisters, Vivian and Bernice.
