Robert John Bassett

On February 19, 2022 Robert Bassett, also known as Rob or Robbie, passed away at the age of 38. Robert was born on December 1, 1983 to Robert Lynn and Linda (Iliff) Bassett. Robert grew up in Blue Earth and attended Blue Earth Area Schools. He later moved to California to enjoy the ocean and skate year round. He then moved to Phoenix, AZ and worked at Batteries Plus Bulbs. He was an artist who played many instruments and was passionate about his interests and hobbies . Rob was preceded in death by his father, Robert L Bassett; and his grandparents, Bob & Betty Iliff of Winnebago, and Robert & Ilene Bassett of Mankato. He is survived by his mother, Linda Basset; and his sister, Sarah Bassett of Blue Earth, along with many family and friends. A private graveside interment will be followed by a public Remembrance Gathering at Patton Funeral Home in Blue Earth on Friday, April 22, 2022 from 3-5pm. Friends will be invited to share recollections and stories of their time spent with Rob. Light refreshments will be provided.
