Patricia L. Halverson

Patricia “Pat,” Halverson, age 72, of Blue Earth, passed away on September 30, 2017 at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.  Visitation will be held at Patton Funeral Home, 400 E. 14th St., Blue Earth, MN on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 from 4-7 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 235 E. 7th St., Blue Earth, MN where Pat was a member for many years, on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. with a visitation at 9:30 a.m., and a reception to follow.Pat was born on November 26, 1944 in Winnebago, MN. She went to school and was raised in Amboy, MN. She married her loving husband of 38 years, Robert “Bob” Halverson, in Blue Earth, MN on September 8, 1979. Together they raised five children, with whom she loved spending all of her time; as well as the wonderful grandchildren and great-grandchildren they gifted her with. She was retired from many years of customer service work. Pat also spent many years working with Bob at Halverson Trucking. She loved cooking and baking, whether it be for just her and Bob or her entire family, it was never a burden, but always a joy. She also loved to play any and all card games with them, or any other family members or friends. When she got the opportunity, she loved to go fishing up north. She dedicated her spare time volunteering at the Eagles Club, where she was a member for many years. She also loved to meet with the ladies at the bingo hall each week to sell her Avon products, and play some bingo while she was there of course! Survived by her husband, Bob Halverson; children, Brenda (Mike) Hesebeck, of Springfield, MO, Jeff (Liz) Petersen, of Owatonna, MN, Steve Petersen, of Ceylon, MN, and Brad Halverson, of St. Cloud, MN; grandchildren, Dustin, Dallas (Krystle), Tasha (Adam), Angela (Lyle), Joey, and Zachary; great-grandchildren, Trystan, Camdyn, Mikaylee, Rhylee, Lukas, and Anthony; siblings, Carol (Frank) Hagg, of Algona, IA, Irvin (Jody) Johnson, of Fairmont, MN, Elaine (Wayne) Patterson, of Whittemore, IA, Marian (Paul) Ziegler, of Winnebago, MN and Alan Johnson, of Fairmont, MN; and many friends and family. Preceded in death by her son, Danny Petersen; parents, Carl and Hermina Johnson; brother, Vernon Johnson; and sisters, Linda Hall and Zelda Johnson.
