Orville Frandle

Orville Eugene Frandle, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on August 14, 2024, just one day shy of his 94th birthday at UHD in Blue Earth, MN. 

Born an only child in Ledyard, IA, to John and Lena (Hendrickson) Frandle August 15, 1930. Orville lived a life full of love and service to his family, community, and country. Orville married his high school sweetheart Maxine Nitz on March 23, 1953, after rushing home from Germany upon his mother's request before she passed away. Following his honorable service in the Army, as a field radio repair technician, Orville worked for the USPS for many years, bringing joy and mail to countless residents as a rural carrier in Elmore, MN, after starting in Blue Earth. He found joy in the simple things in life, from leisurely walks to cheering on his beloved Minnesota Vikings. Orville had a passion for golf, traveling to watch stock car racing, and indulging in classic Western movies. With a strong faith in God, he was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and dedicated his time and energy to the local Jaycee's chapter. 

Orville is survived by his loving children, Randy Frandle of Blue Earth, Roxanne Frandle of Zimmerman, and Becky Bok of Blue Earth. Grandchildren; Kristina Rosillo, Brandon (Steph) Rosillo, Justin (Olimpia) Rosillo, Jordan (Isabelle Voorhees) Rosillo, Dustin Frandle and Brooke Frandle and 2 great grandchildren; Ryan and Everett Rosillo. 

Orville was preceded in death by: his wife Maxine and son Roger.  

The celebration of Orville’s life will take place at Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service on August 19, 2024, at 2:00 pm, with a visitation beginning at 12:00 pm. His burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, among his fellow veterans and loved ones. Though he may have left this world, Orville’s memory and legacy will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
