Nancy Jean was born April 21, 1951 to Wes and Mavis (Midthun) Skaden in Blue Earth. She was one of five children and the only daughter. She graduated from Blue Earth High School in 1969 and loved to tell stories about her athletic abilities and keeping up with the boys. Shortly after she met and married the man she would spend the rest of her life with, Michael Schonborn. Together they raised four children. When Nancy wasn’t helping out on the farm, she worked at Seneca and was a proud mom, housekeeper and caretaker. It was her passion to always be caring for others and she built many lasting relationships with those she met along the way. In her spare time, she enjoyed league bowling, gardening, reading and watching Hallmark movies. She was also known as the Kringla Queen as no one could make them quite like her. But she took most pride in her family, especially her grandchildren. Teaching them and passing on her hard work ethic, making sure they all knew she had their back no matter what and to carry on the family legacy.
Left to cherish these wonderful memories are her children Brad (Anna) of Frost, Jenny (Josh) Bergstrom of Savage, Brian (Amy) of Blue Earth, and Jessica (Dwayne Ryan) Robertson of Winnebago. Her grandchildren, Katlyn, Luke, Halle, Ella, Audrey, Grace, Jaxson, Vivienne, Jimmy, Jagger, Addison, Zander and a grandbaby on the way. Her brothers, John (Carol) Skaden, Dick (Shelly) Skaden, Dave (Anne Skaden and Jim (Tina Marsh) Skaden. Sisters-in-law, Kelly Skaden and Sharon (Glen) Perrine as well as many other nieces, nephews, extended family and friends and her special four-legged friend, Tess.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Michael and an infant daughter, Angela.
