Mona L. Briseno-Leland

Mona L. Briseño-Leland, age 67, of Elmore, passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2021 at United Hospital District in Blue Earth. Memorial services will be held at 11am on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at Saint Stanislaus Church in St. Paul. A time for visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. 

Mona was born on January 2, 1954 in Duluth to Leslie and Mary Louise (Shunk) Leland. On March 18, 1983, Mona married Ramon Briseño in St. Paul. The couple then moved to Elmore to raise their family.

Mona enjoyed more than anything, spending time with her grandchildren. Her hobbies included shopping with and for her grandkids and cooking and baking for her family.

She is survived by her husband, Ramon; children, Carlos Casanova, Buddy Briseño, Jason Briseño, and Jennifer Casanova; 17 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brother Jim Leland; sister, Linda Leland; and many nieces and nephews.

Mona is preceded in death by her parents, and sisters, Georgia Atkinson and Sharon Zorn.
