Michael Louis Rorman, age 66, of Delavan, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at his home. Visitation time will be one hour before the service at Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 400 E. 14th Street in Blue Earth. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 2, 2018, at 11:00 AM, at Patton Funeral Home in Blue Earth, with Rev. Matthew Lorfeld officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Blue Earth. Web tributes may be left at www.pattonfh.com Mike was born on June 26,1951 to Burton and Lois (Anderson) Rorman of Blue Earth, MN. He attended Blue Earth High School and graduated in 1969. Upon graduation he volunteered for the draft. He served his country in the Army from 1969-1971. He was stationed in Frankfurt Germany with the 66th Military Intelligence Group and was discharged in 1971. He moved to California to work as a mechanic at his father’s gas station in Fountain Valley, CA. He then went to school at the Control Data Institute to become an electronics technician. He went to work as an electronics engineer for McDonnell Douglas Computer Systems (formally Microdata Corporation) for 15 years. He then went to work as an electronics engineer for Unisys Corporation for 15 years where he retired in 2006. While in California Mike had 3 daughters Mysti, Jessica, and Melissa. In 2006 Mike returned to Faribault County and resided in Delavan MN. Mike was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 89 and served on the American Legion Color Guard. Mike was also an officer in the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Mike was an avid supporter of the In-Country Vietnam Motor Cycle Club and enjoyed many motorcycle rides with his club brothers. Mike enjoyed many ocean fishing trips while in California. He also enjoyed taking his classic car to many local car shows. Mike is survived by his step-father and mother Russell and Lois Anderson of Blue Earth, MN., his step-brother and sister-in-law James and Deb Anderson of Blue Earth, MN., his daughter Mysti Merrill of Benson, AZ., daughter Jessica Orduno of Alisio Viejo, CA., daughter Melissa Rorman of CA., and step-son Teague Collins of CA.
