Michael Charles Klopp, age 56, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Blue Earth on April 12, 2021. Michael was born December 30, 1964 to Raymond and Jeanne (Klump) Klopp. He graduated from Blue Earth High School in 1985. Michael was a long-time employee of Tafco Equipment Company in Blue Earth where he was an experienced welder. He was employed at Tafco for 30 years.
Michael, known as “Chopper” to many, was an avid car racing and NASCAR fan, enjoyed tinkering in his workroom, puzzles, and biking. He was quiet and kind.
Survived by his sisters, Karen (John) Tweto of Weeki Wachee, Florida, Sharon (Mark) Ristau, Susan (Loyd Jr.) Hinton, both of Blue Earth, Minnesota; a son, Daniel Klopp; nieces and nephews, many cousins, loyal co-workers, and friends.
Michael was preceded in death by his father & mother, infant brother, Michael Raymond, and step-brother, Gordon Klopp.
A service for family and friends will be held at 10am on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Hope United Methodist Church of Blue Earth. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Blue Earth.
