Melody May DeMarre, age 66, of Swea City, died Saturday, December 30, 2017, at Mayo Clinic in Mankato. Visitation time will be from 5:00pm 7:00pm Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 400 E. 14th Street in Blue Earth followed by a wake service at 7:00 PM, with Father Peter Klein officiating. Melody is survived by her husband, Melvin DeMarre JR. of Swea City, son, Michael (Elizabeth) Nelson Jr. of Swea City, son, Marty Nelson of Hinckley, stepdaughter, Heidi (Steve) Rhoades of Fond du Lac, WI, stepdaughter, Stephanie (Roger) Addington of Fond du Lac, stepdaughter, Christina (Darran) Penn of Fond du Lac, stepdaughter, Tracy Shepherd of Fond du Lac, numerous grand and great-grandchildren. Melody was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Donald Vanderhoof, and sister, JoAnn Mattson.
