Marjorie Irene Anderson

Marjorie Irene Anderson, age 96 of Blue Earth, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2024 at United Hospital District in Blue Earth. Funeral services will be held at 2PM on Friday, February 23, 2024 at Patton Funeral Home in Blue Earth. A time for visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Blue Earth.

Marjorie was born on March 27, 1927 in Hayland Township near Milaca, Minnesota, the daughter of Harvey E. Bobo and Grace M. (Larson) Bobo. She was raised and educated in the Milaca area. She graduated high school in 1945. She was married to James E. Anderson on July 25, 1948 in Minneapolis. The couple moved to Blue Earth in 1951 where Jim and Marge raised a family of 11 children. She loved her husband, children, and grandchildren.

Marjorie is survived by her daughter, Cheryl LaShomb of Brooklyn Center, daughter, Nancy Cratsley of Blue Earth, son, Randy (Amy) Anderson of Champlin, son, Mark Anderson of McMinnville, Oregon, son, David (Ivy) Anderson of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, son, Paul (Donna) Anderson of Blue Earth, daughter, Karen (Phillip) Lane of Eagle River, Alaska, and son James (Ann) Anderson of Blue Earth; daughter in law, Janie Anderson; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband James in May 2011, sons, Mitch, Don, and Duane Anderson, brother, Harley, sister, Beverly Ann, and infant brother, Earl James.
