Blue Earth, MN — Loretta Delores Schock, age 85, of rural Blue Earth, MN died Sunday June 10, 2018 at United Hospital District in Blue Earth. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 16 at 2PM and visitation at 1PM. Visitation will also be on Friday, June 15, from 5-7PM. All services held at Hope United Methodist Church at 12080 380th Avenue, Blue Earth, MN 56013. Loretta Delores Schock was born on December 28, 1932 in Keister, Minnesota to Leo and Gladys (Olson) Amundson. She grew up in the rural Blue Earth area and graduated from Blue Earth High school in May of 1950. On June 11, 1950 Loretta was united in marriage to Milden Roscoe Schock at Trinity Lutheran Church in Blue Earth, MN. The couple were to celebrate their 68th wedding anniversary this year. Loretta was a dedicated and caring wife, mother, homemaker, wonderful friend and volunteer. She and Milden lovingly raised 4 children on their family farm in Pilot Grove township in Faribault County and lived well. They retired from farming and continued to live on the homestead. Loretta enjoyed gardening and was excellent in the kitchen with preserves and canning, meal prep and homemaking. She loved spending time with her family, children and grandchildren, going on fishing trips and expeditions with Milden and playing cards with friends. Loretta is survived by her husband, Milden, and her four children and families with 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren: son, Steve and Kathy (Miner) Schock and grandchildren, Eric and Jennifer, Tucson, AZ; son, Jeff and Nancy (Brown) Schock, Mound, MN; daughter, Linda and Tom Pieschel of Ironwood, MI and grandchildren, Michael (Erika)Pieschel and great-grandchildren, Thomas, Vivian and Emilia, grandson, Andrew (Kelly) Pieschel and great-grandchildren, Landon and Sadie, grandson, Mark (Brittany) Pieschel; daughter, Cindy and Greg Anderson of Chaska, MN and grandchildren, Jessica Hanke (Jim) and great-grandchild, Molly, grandchildren, Lauren and Coleman Anderson. She is also survived by many other loving relatives and friends. Loretta is preceded in death by her mother, Gladys Olson Amundson Childs, step-father, Earl Childs, father, Leo Amundson, brother-in-law, Everett Schock, sister-in-law Evelyn Schock, brother-in-law Luverne Schock, sister-in-law, Velma Schock, granddaughter, Bryn Elizabeth Pieschel Cooper, step-brother, Dick Childs and step-sister, Phyllis Childs Garber.
