Julie Volz

Julie Kaye Volz, age 68 of Ghent, Minnesota, passed away on October 30, 2019 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.  She was surrounded by her loving family.Julie was born June 7, 1951. She graduated from Frost High School in 1969 and attended college in Mankato, Minnesota.Julie love working at JCPenney's and retired after 25 years.  She had a passion for life.  She loved music, dancing, cooking and flowers.  She passed her father's hobby of golf along to her children. Julie later fell in love with meeting up with her family at the Mall of America just walking around, shopping and enjoying life but mostly because she was happy anywhere when she was with her children. Julie is survived by her mother Charlotte and late father Perlon Thompson of Sun City West, Arizona. She is also survived by five sons; David Volz and partner Kathy Ju of California, Brian and wife Lynda Volz of Lakeville, Minnesota; Mark and wife Emma of Marshall, Minnesota; Brad Volz of Cannon Falls, Minnesota; and Justin Volz of Woodbury, Minnesota.  Daughter Kayla Volz and Ivan Rodriquez also live in Santa Barbara, California.  She leaves six grandchildren behind; Dylan, Abigail, Rachel, and Iris Volz; Adalaya and Adalia Rodriquez, along with other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held at the Patton Funeral Home in Blue Earth, MN on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 in the chapel at 1 pm. A reception and time of visitation will follow. Interment will be in Frost, MN.As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Avera Foundation. Messages of condolence are welcomed at the funeral home.
