Jessica L. Rosenau

Jessica Rosenau, age 45 of Blue Earth, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Her family was by her side over the last few weeks, and she will be missed beyond words.

Celebration of Life will be held at 11AM on Monday, September 18, 2023 at Patton Funeral Home in Blue Earth with Pastor Kevin Hercula officiating. A time for visitation will be held on Sunday from 4-7PM at Patton Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service on Monday. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Blue Earth with a time of food and fellowship to follow at Cornerstone Church in Blue Earth.

Jessica was born on January 9, 1978 to David and Paula (Sabin) Rosenau. She attended and graduated from Blue Earth High School in 1996. In 1999, Jessica married Aaron Hoffmann. The two would later separate but remained close. They shared 18 years together and raised 4 wonderful children. Jessica worked her own house cleaning business, but her number one job was “Mom.”

Jess was intelligent, very active, funny, caring and loving. She was shy at first, but once you got to know her, she had the gift of gab. Jessica also loved to stay active, working out, walking, and keeping her home neat and tidy. She loved coffee and loved shopping. It was hard to keep up with her on shopping outings. Jessica’s faith was very important to her, and she was a member of New Creation Church in Mankato.

Throughout her life, Jessica enjoyed being home with her family most. She was always there for her children, whether it be at sporting events, there with a warm hug, or spreading some light with her big smile. She was self-less and affectionate, always putting her family first. She loved her four children dearly.

Left to cherish her memory are her four kids, Whitley Hoffmann of Mankato, and Bella, Olivia, and Wyatt Hoffmann of Blue Earth; mother and father, Paula and David Rosenau of Blue Earth; brothers, Bill (Susie) Rosenau and Neil Rosenau of Blue Earth; father of her children, Aaron Hoffmann; nieces and nephew, Kylie, Carter, and Brooklyn Rosenau; and aunts and uncles.

Jessica is preceded in death by her grandparents.

Memorial donations are preferred to Jessica’s children.
