Illa Jean Ficken

Illa Jean Ficken, age 86 of Blue Earth passed away Wednesday June 15, 2022 at Friendship Court with her loving family by her side. A memorial service will be held Tuesday June 21 at 2pm with visitation one hour before the service at Patton Funeral Home. Rev. Matthew Lorfeld will officiate the service. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Blue Earth.

Illa Jean was born to Leonard and Frieda (Kranz) Casper in rural New Richland and later graduated from Claremont High School. Illa Jean married Don Ficken and they made their home in Blue Earth. Illa Jean worked several years for Wells Federal Savings and Loan and then part time for Firkins Real Estate. She enjoyed reading, morning get togethers for coffee with friends, camping and casinos.

Illa Jean is survived by her children Randy (Sharyl) of Blue Earth, Julie (Ron) Pankake of Mankato. Grandchildren; Casey (Tonya) Ficken of Rochester, Holly (Justin) Bramer of Waseca. Great grandchildren; Justin Brown, Neveah Ficken, Lexis Bramer, Jude Bramer and Mila Bramer. Special grandchildren; Heidi and Damon Nielsen, Caleb, Noah and Castan. Sisters, Dorothy Musegades and Vernell (Dean) Witt.

She is preceded in death by her Parents, husband Donald, sisters Delores Carlson and Gail Casper, great granddaughter Lily Jean Ficken.
