Fredrick "Fritz" John Levenhagen

Fredrick “Fritz” John Levenhagen, age 87, of Blue Earth, MN, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Care Center.   A Funeral Service will be held at 11AM on Saturday, November 11 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Blue Earth with Rev. Jeanette Bidne presiding.  Visitation will be held from 5-7PM on Friday, November 10 at Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service and one hour prior to the services at the church.  Interment will take place immediately following the service at Riverside Cemetery.  Online condolences may be left at www.pattonfh.com. Fritz was born on January 22, 1930 to Fredrick and Clara (Kiester) Levenhagen in Allamakee County in Iowa.  As a teenager, Fritz and his family moved to Lake Bronson, MN where he worked until he joined the United States Navy in 1951.  He learned his trade of welding during his four years in the Navy. Fritz married Mary Graphenteen on November 28, 1958 in St. Paul, MN.  The couple moved to Isanti, MN, and started their family.  After 7 years, Fritz purchased F&M Welding in Blue Earth, MN.  The couple relocated their family to Blue Earth.  Fritz ran the business for over forty years before he sold the business to his son. Fritz enjoyed outdoor activities, such as hunting and fishing, spending time with his family, and playing cards, especially pinochle.  Fritz is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary; children, Crystal (Dan) Roos, Lon (Kelli), Todd (Tammy); grandchildren, Alexandra, Brooklyn, Gabrielle Roos, Landon Levenhagen, JyLessa, Jolane, Jayden, Seth, Shane Levenhagen; brother, Willie (Violet) Levenhagen; sister, June (David) Karol; sister-in-law, Margaret Levenhagen and many other loving relatives and friends. Fritz is preceded in death by his, parents; brothers, Charles (Ardyce), Gerhardt, Palmer, David; sisters, Ruth (Pat) Erickson, Florence (Marvin) Johnson.
