Fern Rose Adams

June 16, 1929 — March 28, 2020

Fern passed away in Parkview Care Center, Buffalo, MN on March 28, 2020.  A private grave side service took place at the Riverside Cemetery in Blue Earth, MN with Pastor Matthew Lorfeld of St. Paul Lutheran Church officiating.

Fern was born June 16, 1929 in Burt IA, a twin daughter of Fred and Bertha (Arndt) Cook.

Fern was baptized and confirmed as a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.  She married Eugene Adams September 1, 1946 and they enjoyed 50 years together.  Eugene passed away March 5, 1997.

Survivors include Fern’s twin sister Francis Thompson of Mankato, MN. 

Survivors include daughters: Katherene Gene Oelkers (Arnold) of Waterford, WI also Karron Adams Denk of Buffalo, MN.

Grandchildren: Amy Kellen (Steve) of Long Lake, MN also Heidi Droessler (Brian) of Grayslake, IL and Jason Oelkers (Michele) of Truckee, CA.

Great Grandchildren: Even and KC Kellen, also Matthew and Hailey Droessler also Sage and Aspen Oelkers.

Preceding her in death: Stepbrother Harry Arndt, stepsisters Elsie Wood and Hazel Guckeen.  Stepbrother John Cook, George Cook, brother Donald Cook and sister Jean Stefanski.

Fern enjoyed her family and friends.  She worked a variety of jobs in Blue Earth and occasionally could be found with Eugene at the golf course.  Music and her faith were special pleasures during her life journey.

Fern’s family thanks everyone for the friendships extended to her.
