Delores Elaine Wallace Prescher, beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, faithful Servant and Child of God finished her course in faith on Sunday, July 25, 2021 at Whitewater Health Services, St. Charles, MN.
Delores (Dode) was the loving daughter of the late Harriet (Colby) and George L. Wallace; born to them on August 21, 1928 in Lura Twp., rural Delavan. She was the older sister to her twin brothers, Charles and William. William survives her.
Raised on the farm, Delores was a 1946 graduate of DHS. She married her high school sweetheart, Ralph Prescher on August 22, 1948. They settled on and farmed the Prescher farm in Barber Twp. They shared 69 years of marriage in Christ until Ralph’s death July 3, 2017.
Delores also worked off the farm in several jobs including as a bookkeeper for the Delavan Ag Supply.
Delores is survived by her three children and their spouses: Diana (Jerry) Treptow; Gary (Judi Oothoudt) and Conie (Bill) Bengs. Always a blessing to her family, Delores continued on in that role to her grandchildren who survive, Jennifer (Jeremy), Jessica (Todd), Megan (Drew), Maura (Kyle), Justin (Kristie), and Marcia (Rob); and to her great-grandchildren: Kate (Robert), Jaret, Arianna, Jacob, Isabel, Olivia, Colby, Ethan, Sadie, Noah, Elaine, and Harper. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Geneva Prescher and Margie Wallace as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
An example of faithful love and care for her brothers and sister in Christ, Delores served in the Church Choir, Sunday School, Ladies Aid/LWML, Altar Guild and as a Trustee at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Emerald Twp., Blue Earth.
The family will be forever grateful to the caring staff at Whitewater and Season’s Hospice and to her physician, Dr. Lindy Hankel. The family also thanks all who visited, sent cards, letters or flowers and were a blessing to Delores as her health failed.
The family of Delores remains confident she is in the care of her Lord and Savior until the Day of resurrection.
