Clay Everett Mohr, age 42, of Minneapolis, formerly of Blue Earth, passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2017, at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis. Visitation will be from 2:00pm - 5:00pm Sunday, November 12, 2017 at Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 400 E. 14th Street in Blue Earth. Graveside services will be held on Monday, November 13, 2017, at 11:00 AM, at Calvary Cemetery in Blue Earth, with Rev. Jeanette J. Bidne officiating. Web tributes may be left at www.pattonfh.com Clay was born December 26, 1974, in Blue Earth, the son of David Mohr and Karen (Hamre) Bleess. He graduated from Blue Earth Area High School in 1993. He attended University of Wisconsin-River Falls and then transferred on to Mankato State University where he received his Master’s degree in English as a second language and Spanish. Clay was given the opportunity to begin his teaching career at the University of Guadalajara, Mexico. He was always looking for ways to make a difference and did so by working at several camps across the country. After returning from Mexico, he came to Minnesota residing in Minneapolis MN. He loved the city life and this is where he called home. He enjoyed teaching non-English speaking adults and children over the years. Prior to his passing, he was employed with the Robbinsdale Elementary School System and cherished all the students and his colleagues immensely. Clay is survived by his mother, Karen (Dale) Bleess of Blue Earth, father, David (Barb) Mohr of Minong, WI, sister, Sheila (Chad) Schonrock of Blue Earth, step brother, Gary (Stacy) Bachand of Wausau, WI, step sister, Sara Bachand of Eau Claire, WI, nephews and niece, Tyler, Nick and Zac Schonrock and Kirsten Bachand and many other dear friends and family.
