Charles Kane Frundt, 81 of Blue Earth, MN died on Friday December 1, 2023 at the Benedictine Living Community in Shakopee, MN. Funeral Services for Chuck will be held at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Blue Earth MN, Visitation 9:30am to 11:am, Mass starting at 11:00am. A Private Interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Blue Earth MN. Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service is assisting the family with Arrangements.
Chuck was born in Blue Earth on November 2, 1942 to John and MaryEllen Frundt. He attended St. Peter and Paul grade school and graduated in 1960 from Blue Earth High School. Charles earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the college of St. Thomas and a law degree from the University of Minnesota in 1967. He met his wife Rita on a blind date for a law school dance. They were married on May 24,1968 in St. Paul, Minnesota. Together they returned to Blue Earth where Charles worked as an attorney and Civil trial specialist until his retirement. Chuck loved his family and community. He served as legal counsel for local organizations and was a board member for several nonprofits. He also volunteered with many civic and church projects. In 2013, Charles received the Blue Earth Community Service Award. Chuck enjoyed traveling, reading, fishing, and growing tomatoes. He was an avid fan of high school and college wrestling, but his real love was watching and playing tennis.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Rita; siblings Mary (William) Shimp, Anne (Peter) Wildenborg, and Sr. Mara SSND; children Mary (Alan) Self of Chanhassen, MN, David (Angela) Frundt of Blue Earth, and Karl (Tonia) Frundt of Denver Co; grandchildren Nathan, Peter, Mark, Jack, Nick and Joseph. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Henry Frundt.
Memorials preferred to Interfaith Care Givers, Blue Earth Fitness Center, or Calvary Cemetery in Blue Earth.
