Bruce L. Mondahl, age 80 of Blue Earth, passed away on Friday, September 23, 2022 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Care Center. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Blue Earth with Rev. Lorfeld officiating. A time for visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial with military honors will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Blue Earth. Bruce was born on January 23, 1942 in Buffalo Center, Iowa to Selmer and Marlys (Erdahl) Mondahl. Bruce attended Blue Earth High School. He was enlisted in the United States Army for 3 years. After his time in the service, Bruce worked at Nordaas American Homes for many years and then as a truck driver until retirement. On August 5th, 1962 he married Marguerite Kriewall, his high school sweetheart and love of his life. They spent the majority of their years in Minnesota Lake where they raised their family. He loved being with his family more than anything. He enjoyed visiting with friends, playing cards, wood carving, and traveling. Bruce and Marguerite were members of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Danville Township and Bruce later became a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Blue Earth. He is preceded in death by his wife, Marguerite, his parents, his sister, Janet (Bob) Lembke, brother, Roger (Pat) Mondahl, nephews, Danny Lembke and Scott Mondahl, and his siblings-in-law. Bruce is survived by his three daughters, Kristine (Paul) Stavne of Grantsburg, Wisconsin, Julie (Chuck) Probach of Stewartville, and Kathleen (Kevin) Cole of Huxley, Iowa; grandchildren, Jeremiah (Rebekah) Stavne, Annalee & Alec, Lauren (Steven) Frey, Brianna Probach, Erin (Garrett) Bennett, Levi & Landon, Noah Probach, Gabrielle Cole, Emma Probach, and Hailey Cole; sister-in-law, Lorraine (Michael) Arends; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
