Beth Weringa

April 30, 1943 — December 1, 2023

Blue Earth

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Beth Weringa, a cherished soul who left this world on December 1, 2023, at the age of 80, surrounded by loved ones at Elysian Nursing Home in Chanhassen.

Beth was the beloved wife of the late Dennis H Weringa (2015), and together they created a family. She leaves behind her son, Dennis J Weringa, and his wife Becky, along with their children, Joshua, Ellen, Brielle, and Brennen. Although her daughter Deann (Weringa) Phillips preceded her in death in 2010, her memory lives on through Deann's husband, Randal Phillips.

Beth's spirit was a beacon of joy, and she will forever be remembered for her constant smile and warm, friendly demeanor. Her passion for animals, especially dogs, shone through her support for organizations like PETA and the ASCPA.

Throughout her entire career, Beth dedicated herself to the First National Bank of Blue Earth. Her commitment to community service was exemplified by her role as the first woman president of the Kiwanis Club. Beth was actively involved in various groups in Blue Earth, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those she touched.

Beth is now reunited with her parents, Epko and Grace Johnson, her beloved husband Dennis, her daughter Deann, and her brother Dennis Johnson. She leaves behind her brother Alan (Kathy) Johnson.

A celebration of Beth's life will be at 11:00am February 10, 2024 at Patton Funeral Home in Blue Earth. Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the service.
