Arline B. Murra

Arline B. Murra, age 87, formerly of Blue Earth, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 6, 2023 at Lakeview Methodist Health Care Center in Fairmont. Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Arline was born on March 17, 1935 in Blue Earth to Arlo and Adeline (Bassett) Prescher. She attended and graduated from Bricelyn High School in 1953. On May 23, 1954, Arline was united in marriage to Harold Murra at First Lutheran Church in Waldorf. Arline spent most of her days keeping the home and raising their two children, Glen and Gwen. She also worked for a few years as a housekeeper at United Hospital District in Blue Earth and also a few years waitressing.

Arline enjoyed cooking for her family for the various holidays over the years, canning back in the day, and attending basketball games and races with Harold. She liked to watch television and enjoyed her sweets. Her favorite hobby of all was her family. Arline loved her children, granddaughter, and great-granddaughters dearly.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Glen Murra of Blue Earth, and Gwen (Terry) Henricksen of North Mankato; granddaughter, MacKenzie (Brian) Pellin; great granddaughters, Blaess and Wren Pellin; sister-in-law, Jean Prescher of Albert Lea; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Arline is preceded in death by her husband, Harold; her brother, Arlen Prescher; and her parents.
