Funeral services for Rita Davids, 70, Frost, MN will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 12:00 pm at Patton Funeral Home, Blue Earth with Father Peter Klein officiating. Rita died on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at Mayo Health Systems-Mankato. Interment will be held at Graceland Cemetery, Buffalo Center, IA. Visitation will be on Saturday, February 11, 2017 from 10 am 12 pm at Patton Funeral Home.Rita Carol Sonnek was born on April 19, 1946 in Mankato, MN to Louis and Veronica (Murphy) Sonnek. She attended parochial school at Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Easton and graduated from Delavan High School. She was married to Ronald Gene Davids on October 28, 1969 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Easton. Rita worked at TAFCO in Blue Earth for 34 years. She was a member of the Legion Auxiliary and the Chicken Feed Crew. She loved gardening and was well known for her pickles. Rita was a staunch supporter of Diamond Joe''s. Rita is survived by one son, Jeff (Kris) Davids; one granddaughter, Abbi Busch; siblings, Pat (Don) Krenik, Shirley Fraze, Russ (Ruth) Sonnek, Terry (Jan) Sonnek; one sister-in-law, Karen Davids; honorary grandkids, Felisha, Hannah, Riley, Taylor and Chloe; and numerous nieces and nephews.In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to UHD Hospice.
