Memorial services to celebrate the life of Howard W. Lyon will be held at Patton Funeral Home in Blue Earth, Minnesota, on Monday, May 8, 2017 at 12:00 PM, with Rev. Brent Walker officiating. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service. Burial will be at Pilot Grove Cemetery in rural Blue Earth.Howard Lyon passed away on Friday, May 5, 2017 at St. Luke''s Lutheran Care Center in Blue Earth, MN. Howard was born on September 5, 1928, in rural Pilot Grove Township, the son of Ray and Rose Lyon. He was raised and educated in rural Blue Earth, where he farmed all of his life until retirement in 1990.Howard is survived by his six children, Steven Lyon of Mancos, CO, Ruthanne (John) Ellis of Armstrong, IA, Bruce (Cindy) Lyon of Blue Earth, Scott (Kathy) Lyon of Blue Earth, Jeff Lyon of Woodbury, MN and Shelley (Nick) Bleess of Blue Earth, MN; nine grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
