Deloris "Dolly" Pooley, 92, passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2016, at the Lutz Wing Nursing Home in Fairmont, MN.Funeral Service will be 10:30 AM Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Hope United Methodist Church of Blue Earth. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 PM Friday at Patton Funeral Home in Blue Earth, and one hour prior at the church. Burial will be at the Riverside Cemetery of Blue Earth. Web tributes may be left at www.pattonfh.comShe was born Deloris Marie Hart on April 3, 1923 to Ruth and Irvin Hart, in Hitchcock, SD. She grew up in Iroquois, SD and graduated from high school there. On September 2, 1941 she married Wilbur Dale Pooley in Blue Earth. They spent the first years of their marriage living near Fedora, SD, before moving to Blue Earth in 1946. They were married 39 years before his passing in 1981. Throughout their marriage they owned and operated scrap metal recycling businesses in Blue Earth, Mankato and Fairmont. After retiring as the bookkeeper for the family business Deloris spent time traveling the world. In her life she toured China, Australia, Europe and the British Isles, Central and South America. Deloris also loved to read and was a lifelong learner.She is survived by seven children: Richard (Shirley) Pooley of Fairmont, Ronald Pooley of Madison Lake, Terry (Arlene) Pooley of Janesville, Greg (Beth) Pooley of Madison Lake, Douglas (Glenda) Pooley of Roseville, Susan (James) Pirsig of Jackson, Lisa (Dan) Gauper of Bloomington; sisters Twila (LaVern) Tibbetts of Blue Earth, Darlene Broderson of Omaha, NE; 15 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Deloris was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sister Bonnie Lindemann and an infant daughter, Cara Lynn.
