Janice Ehrich, age 81, of Elmore passed away February 10, 2016 at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Windom.Funeral Service will be 10:30 AM, Monday February 15, 2016 at the Trinity Lutheran Church of Elmore, with visitation 2:00-4:00 PM Sunday, February 14 at Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Blue Earth and one hour prior to service at the church. Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery of Elmore. Web tributes may be left at www.pattonfh.comJanice Lilah Peter was born November 20, 1934 on the family farm in Elmore Township to Theodore and Lillie (Ristau) Peter. She was baptized at St. John Lutheran Church in Elmore on November 25, 1934, received her education at Elmore Township District 66 and 108. Janice was confirmed on April 24, 1948 at St. John Lutheran Church in Elmore. She graduated from Elmore High School in 1952 then attended Mankato Commercial College.She worked for the Elmore Nursery and Christmas Tree Co. for several years. On August 29, 1954 Janice was united in marriage to Eldon Ehrich, and they were blessed with four children, Maren, Delmar, David and Brian.In 1961 she and Eldon purchased the W.O. Halvorson Co. which then became Ehrich Plumbing and Heating. Janice was involved with the company until 1999.She was active in scouts, PTA, ladies aid and LWML. Janice was a long time member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Elmore, where she served as treasurer for over 20 years. She enjoyed time with her family, was a talented cook and baker, and will be remembered for growing beautiful flowers and tending to her prolific garden. Janice is survived by her husband of 61 years, Eldon; children, Maren (Dennis) Johnson of Windom, Delmar (Camille) Ehrich of Eden Prairie, David (Elizabeth) Ehrich of Elmore, and Brian (Rae Jean) Ehrich of Chaska; grandchildren, Matthew Johnson, Joseph (Ashley) Ehrich, Naomi Johnson, Alexandra (Tommy) Ehrich, Andrew Ehrich, Michael Johnson, Etta Berkland and Madeline Ehrich; great-grandchildren, Eva, Adelaide, Clark, Job, Ingrid, and Molly.She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Gerald, Donald and Eldon; and twin sister, Joyce.
