Margaret Lena (Bauer) Lehman, 88, of Blue Earth passed away May 4, 2016 at St. Luke''s Lutheran Care Center in Blue Earth.Funeral Service will be 2:30 PM Saturday May 7, 2016 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Blue Earth, with visitation one hour prior to service. Interment will be in the Riverside Cemetery of Blue Earth. Margaret was born to William (Bill) Bauer and Lena (Goeman) Bauer on June 9, 1927 in Blue Earth. Later a brother Donald and a sister, Ruth Walton (Forrest) De Lunger joined the family. The family attended many sporting events, father played baseball and brother, Don was in many sports.Margaret always loved dolls and has many in her collection. She participated in bike races and later pitched for the softball team.After high school graduation, Margaret worked as a secretary for WWII Ration Board, State Health Department (St. Paul), Faribault County Welfare Office, and 15 years in the Blue Earth High School Office.She graduated from Mankato (Minnesota State) with a degree in teaching vocational and business. She taught in Delavan and 16 years in "Model Office" Program, Wells. It was her pride and joy when a student succeeded.Margaret married Elmer Lehman (the love of her life) on October 25, 1947. Their children, Lance and Lachelle, were added to the family in 1961. It was God''s gift to her she said many times.She loved to be with her husband Elmer and family: hunting, fishing and camping. Both Elmer and Margaret were high school wrestling fans, and attended many meets and tournaments.Over the years strong friendships were developed with Don Dravis and many other young people.Preceding her in death were her parents; and husband Elmer (2012).Margaret is survived by her son, Lance Lehman of Woodbury; daughter, Lachelle Knoll (Tom) of Coon Rapids; grandson, Kirk Knoll of Colombia Heights; sister, Ruth (Forest) Bauer of Bricelyn and brother, Donald (Denise) Bauer of Phoenix, AZ; sister-in-law, Valeria.In lieu of flowers, donations preferred to Blue Earth Area Hospice or the Faribault Co Humane Society.
