Florence C Lein

Florence C. Lein, 85 passed away peacefully into the arms of her Heavenly Father on June 21, 2016. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, June 24, 2016 at Patton Funeral Home Blue Earth, MN and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. A Memorial Service will be held 10:30 am on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Hope United Methodist Church, Blue Earth, MN with Reverend Russ Jacobsen officiating. She was born on March 31, 1931 to Chester and Leona (Maus) Jones in Benson, MN, the oldest of thirteen children. The family later moved to Remer, MN while Florence was in high school. She graduated from Benson High School. She worked at a bank until she met and married Loren B. Lein on March 7, 1953.The couple lived in Watson, MN while Florence worked at the Watson Bank and Loren farmed. They moved to Fort Hood, Texas where Loren served in the Army. Following service, they welcomed their daughter Renae Suzanne Lein on June 22, 1956 and on July 18, 1959, they welcomed son, David Loren Lein. They made their home in Blue Earth, MN and Florence stayed home with the children until they entered school. She worked with Loren in the State Farm office and, also, in the Blue Earth Public Schools as a teacher''s aide. Florence was active in the Jaycees, Christians Women''s Club, served as the Blue Earth Welcome Wagon Representative, 4-H Leader, Cub Scout Leader, Sunday School and Release Time teacher.Florence loved her family and always kept family first after her faith in God. She and Loren were ecstatic with the birth of their four grandchildren: Mackenzie Jo Lein, Lauren Amber Sheibley, Samuel John Sheibley and Nicholas David Lein. They were her pride and joy!Florence and Loren were married for 59 years, Loren died on June 18, 2012. She lived in their home until falling and breaking her hip, then making her home at St. Luke''s Lutheran Care Center in 2014. Florence was grateful and thankful for the friends and staff at St Luke''s, for their friendship and care. She enjoyed and treasured daily visits from her family and friends.Florence was a lover; her kind words, presence, thoughtful gestures and cards will be dearly missed. We are comforted in knowing she is no longer in pain and is free in God''s loving arms and one day we will all be reunited.Florence is survived by her daughter Renae Sheibley, of Stevens Point, WI and son David (Cindy) Lein of Winnebago, and grandchildren: Mackenzie Jo Lein of Winnebago, Lauren Amber Sheibley of Grand Rapids, MI, Samuel John Sheibley of Stevens Point, WI and Nicholas David Lein of Winnebago, extended family Jeff and Sharon Johnston, Courtney and Luke, Farmington, MN and siblings Fern (Donald) Hendrickson, Lily Jones, Sharon Brierly, Debra Battleson, Chester (Georgia) Jones, Richard (Diane) Jones, Stanley Jones, David (Deb) Jones.She is preceded in death by her loving husband Loren B. Lein, parents Chester and Leona (Maus) Jones, siblings Clarice Tanberg, Neva Lewis, Linda Jones, Robert "Bob" Jones.Florence C. Lein
