Ruth Louise Driscoll

Ruth Louise Driscoll, age 84, of Blue Earth, MN passed away peacefully on July 1, 2016. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 6 at 11AM at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church of Blue aEarth, MN with Fr. Peter Klein as celebrant. The visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 5 at Patton Funeral Home of Blue Earth, MN from 5-7PM and one hour prior to the start of Mass. Interment will take place immediately following Mass at Calvary Cemetery in Blue Earth, MN. Ruth was born on August 23, 1931 to David and Hilda Linden in Bradford, IL. She attended and graduated from Bradford High School in 1949. She met and married her High School sweetheart, Daniel Driscoll on December 12, 1950 at St. John''s Catholic Church in Bradford, IL. Ruth and Daniel farmed and worked in and around the Bradford area for several years. In 1969, Ruth and Daniel moved to Blue Earth, MN. There they operated and later owned the Blue Earth Feed Lot and retired from the business in 1992. In 1951, Ruth and Daniel welcomed the first of nine children. Ruth was a dedicated wife and mother, she spent the majority of her time caring for her ever growing family. Both, Ruth and Dan loved watching their children and grandchildren participate in sporting activities. Ruth was very active in the Sts. Peter and Paul CCW and Catholic Daughters. She was a volunteer for the United Hands Hospice for 12 years following the death of her husband in 2002. Ruth was grateful and thankful for the caregivers at St Luke''s. She enjoyed and treasured daily visits from her family and friends.Ruth is survived by her nine children, Ken (Kay), Donna Driscoll, Dick (Deb), Shelly (Dick) Skaden, Phil (Vicky), Susan (Scott) Erichsrud, Dan (Cindy), Patrick, Jane Driscoll; 24 grandchildren, Philip (Megan) Driscoll, Shaun (Samantha) Erichsrud, Michelle (Dawn) Skaden-Stellner, Angela (Marcus) Fulcer, Jessica (Dwayne) Thormodsgard, Derek (Erica) Etheredge, Katie (Jay) Reyero, Kellen (LaCenia) Driscoll, Dustin Erichsrud, Doug Driscoll, Nicole (Tyler) Schultz, Casey Etheredge, Danielle (Brad) Mull, Rachael (Tim) Mitchell, Christy (Jared) Stafford, Courtney Driscoll, Bill (Jenna) Skaden, Dan Driscoll, Will Driscoll, Camille Driscoll, Emily Driscoll, Morgan Driscoll, Bill (Kelli) Keiler, Michael (Susanne) Keiler; and 27 great-grandchildren, Brady, Bobby, Hunter, Brittney, Kinnley, Conner, Avery, Olivia, Mackenzie, Taylen, Colton, Philip, Aliya, Anola, Evan, Elizabeth, Wesley, Ellie, Nora, Adelyn, Myles, Cheyanne, Caleb, Ayden, Naomi, Eliza, and Tabitha.Ruth is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Daniel; her parents; a brother, Ernest Linden; and her twin sisters, Arlene Tumbleson and Darlene Adkins. Memorials preferred to St. Luke''s Lutheran Care Center and United Hands Hospice.
