Danny Sasse

Danny Lee Sasse, age 72, of Blue Earth, died Saturday, October 8, 2016, at United Hospital District in Blue Earth.Memorial services will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2016, at 11:00 AM, at Patton Funeral Home in Blue Earth, with Rev. Russ Jacobsen officiating. Burial will be held at a later date. Visitation time will be from 9:30 am Saturday at Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 400 E. 14th Street in Blue Earth. Web tributes may be left at www.pattonfh.comHe was born June 7, 1944, at Blue Earth, the son of Ernest and Irene (Haase) Sasse. He was raised on a farm in rural Blue Earth/Frost area. He graduated from Frost High School in 1962. After high school Danny attended Mankato State University. On August 14, 1965, he married Pamela Sankey, to this union they had three children. On February 14, 1987 at Salem United Methodist Church he married Candy Earl. For over 40 years he worked for Coca Cola around the Albert Lea area. Following retirement he and Candy moved to Blue Earth and spent their winters in Pharr, TX.He was a member of the Elks Lodge, Moose Lodge, Teamster''s Union, Methodist Church, 4-H, and Border Riders Saddle Club.He is survived by his wife, Candace "Candy" Sasse of Blue Earth, son, Alan (Anita) Sasse of Northfield, step-daughter, Angie (Travis) Stallkamp of Clarion, IA, step-daughter, Amy (Glenn) Huber of Winnebago, daughter, Carol Holmes of Austin, step-son, Jason (Nissa) Furland of Minneapolis, daughter, Jeanie (Doug) Kruckeberg of Blue Earth, brother, Duane ( LaVonne) Sasse of Rochester, sister, Diane (Rakki) Peterson of Butterfield, brother-in-law, Terry (Audrey) Earl of Texas City, TX, mother in law, Irene Earl of Pharr, TX, sister in law, Sandy Sasse of New Prague, 15 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Darwin and Drew Sasse, infant sister, Dawn Sasse, father-in-law Melvin Earl, and infant brother-in-law, Jimmy Earl.In Danny''s name a memorial has been established to the Faribault County Humane Society or Interfaith Caregivers.
