Richard Lee Klatt

RICHARD KLATT, age 81, of Blue Earth, died Thursday, January 1, 2015, at his home.Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 5, 2015, at 10:00 AM, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Blue Earth, with Rev. Wesley Hafner officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Blue Earth. Visitation time will be from 3:00 to 6:00 PM Sunday, at Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 400 E. 14th Street in Blue Earth and one hour prior to services at the church. Web tributes may be left at www.pattonfh.comRichard was born January 26, 1933, in Blue Earth the son of Floyd and Florence (Duncanson) Klatt.He was raised in Blue Earth where he was a 1951 graduate of Blue Earth High School. He entered the U.S. Army and returned home in 1953 where he worked with his father at Klatt Motors in Blue Earth. Richard was married to DeEtta K. Kramersmeier on May 30, 1956 in Blue Earth. Richard worked in most all aspect of the car dealership for many years, retiring in 1984. In retirement he enjoyed cutting firewood, camping, doing yardwork and mowing his lawn and watching sports, especially the MN Twins. Richard is survived by his wife, DeEtta Klatt of Blue Earth, his son, Don (Cindra) Klatt of Rochelle, Illinois, son, Randy (Karen) Klatt of Britt, Iowa, daughter, Renae (Kevin) Buchan of East Chain, brother, Arlyn (Karen) Klatt of Blue Earth, sister, Janice(Charles) Rendall of Granada Hills, CA, six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Mary Klatt.
