Milford Harold Garvick was born on July 7, 1933 to Lars Swen and Minnie Louise (Schaumburg) Garvick in Bancroft, IA. He attended school in Elmore, MN. When he was 17, he signed up for the US Army serving in Germany. When Milford returned home from the service, he began working as a farm hand for various farmers. He continued working as a farm hand until retiring at age 62. Milford loved to fish, trap and hunt. He was an avid dancer and loved to dance with his twin sister. He loved to sing and listen to country music. Milford made lots of time for each of his grandchildren.Milford is survived by one son, Greg Garvick of Fairmont; four daughters, Wanda Smith (David) of Elmore, Sandy Feldick (Larry) of Two Harbors, Paula Jurgens, Elmore, Robin Hellman (Jim), Elmore; 5 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; two brothers, Henry (Bernice) of Kiester, Leonard (Carylin) of Steen; four sisters, Norvina DeNieu of Winnebago, Junice Huston of Elmore, twin sister, Minnie Michaels of Elmore and Violet Armstrong (Bob) of Stockton, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson, Jesse; one daughter-in-law, Darci; six brothers, George, Marvin, Morris, Richard, Lars, Junior; three sisters, Ida, Anna and Lillian.
