Funeral services for Jannie J. Shields, 91, Blue Earth, MN will be held on Friday, April 10, 2015 at 10:00 am at St. Luke''s Care Center, Blue Earth, MN. Interment will be held at Bass Lake Cemetery, rural Winnebago, MN. Jannie died on Tuesday, April 07, 2015 at St. Luke''s Care Center, Blue Earth. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the services at St. Luke''s Care Center.Jannie Jones was born on September 26, 1923 in rural Johnston County, NC to Nathan and Liza (Creech) Jones. She attended school in Johnston County, NC. On November 12, 1943 Jannie was united in marriage to Harold Shields in Johnston County, NC. They later moved to Minnesota where they farmed by Bass Lake. Jannie was a cook while they lived on the farm and also after they moved to Winnebago in 1967. She retired in 1985. Jannie loved quilting, sewing and cooking. She loved spending time with her family.Jannie is survived by one son, William Shields, Woodstock, MN; two daughters, Eleanor (Tom) Britt, Four Oaks, NC, Anita (LeRoy) Thomas, Blue Earth, MN; thirteen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; four great, great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Ralph; great granddaughter, Misty; three brothers and four sisters.www.pattonfh.com
