Web tributes may be left at www.pattonfh.comHe was born March 3, 1990, at Blue Earth, the son of Jim and Kim (Risk) Volz. He graduated from Granada-Huntley-East Chain in 2008 and later attended St. Cloud Vo-Tech. He worked for Tvedten Electric for 5 and 1/2 years and was currently employed at Green Plains Inc.Mike was an active member of the Elmore Fire Department, helped teach children to hunt through FFMB, showed Charolais and Simmental cattle in 4-H, and had a passion for anything with a motor. He enjoyed hunting with his friends, making videos, taking pictures, but the most important thing to him was his job as daddy to his daughter Jaydyn, at which he was a professional. Mikes motto was always to live life to the fullest and he truly succeeded in that every day. Anytime someone was in need, he would always give the shirt off his back. He was a redneck troublemaker with a heart of gold. He had no idea the impact he had on the children in FFMB and anyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He is proof it''s not about the quantity of time on this earth, it''s the quality.
