Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 12, 2015, at 2:00 PM, at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Blue Earth, with Father Peter Klein officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Blue Earth. Visitation time will be from 11:00 AM until service time at the church on Friday. Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Blue Earth is assisting the family with the arrangements. Web tributes may be left at www.pattonfh.comLeo was born October 3, 1920, in Easton, MN, the son of William and Ethel (Stevermer) Sippel. He was raised in Easton, MN where he attended Mt. Carmel Catholic Schools. Leo was married to Dorelda Wiese on November 26, 1943 in Blue Earth, she passed away on July 7, 1972. He farmed in Faribault County, and later in Rice County near Faribault, for 38 years. After farming he came to Blue Earth where he was a salesman at HiWay Ford for 21 years. Leo was reunited in marriage to Marvel Staloch on August 2, 1974. He had six siblings: Donald, Joseph, Marie, Florence, Elaine and Cora Ann. Leo W. Sippel is survived by his wife, Marvel Sippel of Blue Earth, son, Ron Sippel of Mapleton, son, Randy (Alana) Sippel of Sherburn, step-children, Jeff, Barb, Lisa & Greg (Chris), his sisters, Elaine Lubitz and Cora Anne (Tom) Murphy, his grandchildren: Jim (Kris) Sippel, Shannon (Rick) Allen, Jason (Angie) Sippel, Tammi (Ken) Leppla, two step-grandchildren, Nicholas & Tyler Staloch and four great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, daughter-in-law, Nan Sippel brothers, Don & Joseph Sippel, and sisters, Marie Claude & Florence TrembleyMemorial contributions are preferred to SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church.
