Michael "Mike" Eugene Hilpipre

Michael "Mike" E. Hilpipre, 64, of Blue Earth, passed away at home surrounded by his family August 4, 2015. Mike was born April 6, 1951 to Harold and Jean Hilpipre in Blue Earth Minnesota. He grew up in Elmore and attended the Elmore United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America and graduated from Elmore High School in 1969. On May 17, 1975 Mike married Mavis Legler at the Elmore United Methodist Church. Together they raised their four children, Jim, Shelly, Melissa and Becca.Mike enjoyed working at the Elmore Nursery. He then attended vocational school in Jackson, which lead him to work at Frontier Communications in Fairmont for the past 18 years.Mike loved to fish, tend to his yard, and was a reliable handyman to his children. He was a dedicated member of Shiloh Lutheran Church. Mike enjoyed time with his immediate and extended family, and was proud of his 33 years of sobriety. Mike is survived by his wife of 40 years Mavis; children, Jim (Janice) Hilpipre, Shelly (Scott) Adams, Melissa Hilpipre and Becca (Scott) Clarke; grandchildren, Jessica Hilpipre, Zack, Hunter, Stacy and Seth Adams, Gunnar and Linkin Schultze, Gatlin Clarke; mother, Jean Hilpipre; brothers, Steve, Doug, Rick, Brad Hilpipre; sister, Lorie Rame, and many other family members.He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Henry and Emma Hilpipre; Roy and Anna Mae Mino; and father, Harold Hilpipre.
