Helen A. Bleess, 99, of Blue Earth, passed away Friday, November 13, 2015 at the St. Lukes Care Center of Blue Earth.Funeral Mass will be 10:00am Wednesday, November 18 at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church of Blue Earth. A visitation will be 4 PM - 7 PM Tuesday, November 17 at Patton Funeral Home of Blue Earth, with visitation one hour prior at the church. Interment will be at the Calvary Cemetery of Blue Earth.Helen was born June 24, 1916 to Clinton and Anna (Seefeldt) Nenaber in Clark, South Dakota. She graduated in 1935 from Blue Earth High School.On October 12, 1936 Helen Nenaber married Norbert E. Bleess in Blue Earth, together they raised six children on the family farm west of Blue Earth.She was a clerk for Breen''s Hardware for nearly 40 years. Helen was active in the CCW, served as a past president for the Catholic Daughters and VFW Ladies Auxiliary. In her retirement years she was a passionate volunteer in the community, especially at St. Lukes Care Center. In 1998, Helen received the Outstanding Senior Citizen Award for Faribault County.Helen is survived by her children, David (June) Bleess of Blue Earth, Douglas (Ardeen) Bleess of St. Michael, Dale (Karen) Bleess of Blue Earth and Diane (Greg) Holland of Blue Earth; 14 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 5 step-great-grandchildren; 13 great-great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Marilyn Rauenhorst of Wells; with many nieces, nephews and cousins.She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 56 years, Norbert; daughters, Delores Bleess and Darlene (Donald) Rauenhorst; grandson, John Paul Rauenhorst; and brothers, Bud & Fritz Nenaber.
