Bonnie Oakland

Bonnie Oakland, 65, of Blue Earth, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2015, from cancer. Memorial service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 30, at the First Baptist Church of Blue Earth. Visitation will be 4:00 6:00 PM Tuesday, December 29 at Patton Funeral Home. Inurnment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Blue Earth.Bonnie was born December 17, 1950 to Larry and Dorothy (Day) Wenthold. She graduated from Burnsville High School in 1969. While working at the United Hospital District in Blue Earth, she met and eventually married Gary Oakland on October 9, 1976, together they raised their daughter Mandie.Bonnie was an active member at the First Baptist Church in Blue Earth and enjoyed singing and entertaining everywhere she could.She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Gary; daughter, Mandie Johnson of Blue Earth and brother, Brian Wenthold of Guckeen.Bonnie was preceded in death by her mother and father.
