Ruth Evelyn Krusemark

RUTH E KRUSEMARK, age 97, of Blue Earth, passed away Friday, April 11, 2014, at United Hospital District. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2014, at 11:00am, at Hope United Methodist Church in Blue Earth, with Rev. Janet Crissinger officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Blue Earth. Visitation time will be from 5:00pm-7:00pm Wednesday, at Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 400 E. 14th Street in Blue Earth, and one hour before the service at the church. Web tributes may be left at www.pattonfh.comRuth was born December 12, 1916, at Sheldon, IA, the daughter of William and Lola (Schoch) Wheaton. She moved to Redwood Falls, MN at the age of one. She graduated from Redwood Falls High School in 1934. After graduating she worked typing car loans, and also at Redwood County Sun Newspaper. On June 25, 1939 she married Leslie Krusemark at the St. Paul parsonage. Together they lived in Slayton, MN for about 14 months. Triplet daughters were born July 20, 1940 but were premature and lived only 36 hours. They weighed 2lbs 11oz each and are buried at Slayton. They then moved to Wells where Les managed a Red Owl Store for 10 years. In 1949 they moved to Blue Earth owning their own Red Owl Store. Ruth began working as a receptionist and bookkeeper at the Blue Earth Hospital, later working in Medical Records, office manager, and administrative assistant for a total of 19 years retiring in December of 1979. They spent the next 20 years wintering in Florida. She is survived by her son, Larry (Edith) Krusemark of Redwood City, CA, daughter, Vicki (Albert) Russ of Blue Earth, son, Richard (Rosalie) Krusemark of Andover, MN, daughter, Beverly (Bruce) Ranstrom of Warren, MN, son, Rande (Deb) Krusemark of Stewartville, MN, son, Donald (Beth) Mankato, MN, son, David (Sandy) Krusemark of Fairmont, MN, sister, Dorothy (Dennis) Menk of Alexandria, MN, 27 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband, infant triplet daughters, granddaughter, Ruth Krusemark, parents, brother, Harold Wheaton, sister, Hazel Leopold.
