ALLEN D. GARVICK, age 60, of Elmore, died Monday, May 5, 2014, at United Hospital, Blue Earth. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 09, 2014, at 1:30 PM, at Elmore United Methodist Church, with Rev. Arthur Keith officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Elmore. Web tributes may be left at www.pattonfh.comAllen was born June 23, 1953, in Blue Earth, the son of Marvin and Geneva (Overfield) Garvick. He was raised and educated in Elmore. He was married to Frances Foote and later to Estella Tupper. On June 27, 1992 he was married to Kathleen L. Schultz on Elmore. Allen collected and recycled scrap iron for many years and also did small engine repair. He enjoyed fishing, gun collecting and target shooting, collecting toy tractors, mowing, camping and gardening. His favorite joy was spending time with his many grandkids.Allen is survived by his wife, Kathleen Garvick of Elmore, son, Tom Tupper of Elmore, son, Paul Braatz of Albert Lea, daughter, Helen Maldonado of Elmore, daughter, Dori Carmona of Elmore, brothers: Terry Garvick of Elmore, Rick (Rose) Garvick of Elmore, Bobbe Garvick of Elmore, his sisters, Charlotte (Jim) Bishop of Elmore & Sharon Wander of Elmore and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents and a step-son, Gerald Tupper.
