Web tributes may be left at www.pattonfh.comHe was born October 3, 1921, at Marshall, MN, the son of Peter & Gertrude (Cierpiszewski) Juba. He graduated from Marshall High School in 1939. On October 16, 1944 he married Gertrude Otillia Lanter in Mascoutah, IL, when he was still in the army. After the war they eventually settled in Pipestone, MN, and though he wanted to use his army training in radio/electronics for a new career he reverted back to his prewar skills in the grocery business. He worked long hard hours and thrived in his work world even when times were toughlike when he had to move his family to rescue his Willmar store. He was playful and lots of fun and a great storyteller with interesting voices and masterful timing. He had a repertoire of jokes, limericks, and tricks that his descendants are still enjoying! He loved familyALL his family: his own family of origin and all the Juba-side relatives, he loved his Illinois in-laws; he loved his kids and their partners and grands and greats. He was very friendly even with strangers and enjoyed a large circle of friends. Most of all he loved his Gertie and thought she was very brave to go away with him to far away Minnesota and start a new life. He is survived by his sons, Tom (Sue) Juba of Blue Earth, Dick (Sally) Juba of Shakopee, Michael (Monica) Juba of Chaska, his daughters, Mary (Charlie Wiesen) Juba of Madison, WI, Carol (Jim) Neppl of Winona, 12 grandchildren & 17 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, 4 brothers, Bernie, Jerome, Bob, Dick, and 2 sisters, Ronnie VanHee, Eunice Dale. Please send memorials to St Luke''s Lutheran Care Center, 1219 S.
