Armond Dobson

Armond R. "Dobby" Dobson, age 91, of Blue Earth, died Wednesday, October 1, 2014, at United Hospital in Blue Earth. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2014, at 10:30 AM, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Blue Earth, with Rev. Wesley Hafner officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Blue Earth. Visitation time will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, at Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 400 E. 14th Street in Blue Earth and one hour prior to services at the church. (Buhmann) Dobson. He was raised in Blue Earth where he graduated from Blue Earth High School. He worked for J.C. Penney Co. where he met and later married Dorothy L. Tonn on June 6, 1945 in Blue Earth. Dobby worked for Phillips 66 Co. before becoming a milkman with Schwen''s Dairy. He delivered milk for many years before he began working at Don''s Fleet Supply in 1973 as a small engine mechanic. He worked at Don''s fleet for 38 years, retiring in 2011. He was a longtime, very active member of St. Paul''s Lutheran Church. He was also a longtime member of the Blue Earth Woodcarvers. Dobby was a faithful man; faithful to his Lord, wife, family and as a role model.Armond "Dobby" is survived by his son, Charles (Nita) Dobson of Fairmont, son, Dan (Pam) Dobson of Luverne, special friend, Mae Hove, his grandchildren: Tammy (Ozzie) Schultze, Holly (Jason) Hegdal, Scot (Michelle) Dobson, Ryan (Sara) Jellema, four great grandchildren and foster son, Doug Ferch.He was preceded in death by his parents, wife-Dorothy in 2004, son, Roger Dobson, sisters: Eloise Clare, Lazetta Anderson, Mary Wiltse & Carolyn HawleyFlentje, brothers: Orville, LeRoy & Joseph Dobson and a grandson, Eric Dobson.
