Ruth graduated from Webster City, Iowa High School in 1939. Thomas Carson Irving and Ruth Flowers were married on September 23, 1939 in Webster City, Iowa. Ruth was busy raising seven children and helping with farm work for most of her married life. Eventually Ruth and the children moved to Blue Earth and at that point my Mom became known as the nice lady with a great vegetable garden (within our neighborhood). Mom had us three younger children helping her at that time with the garden and other chores too. She also enjoyed cooking and we especially enjoyed her French fries. Mom would want me to mention her first born child that didn''t get to stay but 3 days with us. His name was James and Mom always referred to him as Jimmy. Ruth is survived by her adult children: Mary Ruth Huber (George), Sandra Kay Classon (Terry), Roderick Irving, John Thomas Irving, Patrick Ward Irving (Kim), Linda Irving Hatton. Grandchildren include: Dennis Boettcher, Todd Boettcher (Cassie), David Boettcher, Greg Boettcher (Michelle), Kelly Boettcher, Brian Classon (Amanda), Brad Classon (Andrea), Tim Classon, Wendy Scheenen (Warren), Missy Savage (Mitch), Chad Irving, Aaron Irving (Jenn), Amanda Irving, Jenny Roth (Lenn). There are several Great Grandchildren. There are many family members that will be waiting to greet Mom in heaven, Her parents, Gilbert and Edith Flowers, her sisters and our Aunts: Calva Dilley (Lawrence), Zelpha Burgin (Roy), and Mary Olthoff (Ray). A brother and our Uncle: Harold Flowers (Jessie).
