ALICE M. PETERSON, age 96, of Cottonwood, MN, died went to be with her Lord & Savior on Monday, December 1, 2014, at St. Luke''s Lutheran Care Center in Blue Earth, MN. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 8, 2014 at 1:30 PM, at Christ Lutheran Church in Cottonwood, with Pastor Jim Demke officiating. Burial will follow in Christ Lutheran Cemetery, Cottonwood. Visitation time will be one hour prior to services at the church. Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Blue Earth, MN is assisting the family with the arrangements. Web tributes may be left at www.pattonfh.com Memorial donations are preferred to St. Luke''s Lutheran Care Center or Christ Lutheran Church.Alice was born May 26, 1918, in Wood Lake, MN, the daughter of Louis and Lena (Pochardt) Schrupp. She was raised and educated in Wood Lake where she graduated from High School in 1936. She attended Mankato Teachers College and worked briefly at the Abstract Office in Albert Lea before her marriage to Clifford Peterson on December 26, 1941 at St John''s Lutheran Church in Wood Lake. The couple moved to Cottonwood in 1941. In 1957 they moved to Graceville where they farmed before purchasing the Graceville Drive Inn Caf in 1962. Alice & Clifford retired to Cottonwood in 1980. Clifford died in 1997 and Alice moved to Blue Earth, MN in 2005 to be closer to family. ALICE PETERSON is survived by her son, Harlo (Karen) Peterson of Naples, FL., her daughter, Kathy Anderson of Sioux Falls, SD, her son, Dion (Nancy) Peterson of Blue Earth, her son, Wesley (Lynn) Peterson of International Falls, MN & son, David (Cindy) Peterson of International Falls, MN. Also surviving are her brother, Virgil "Bill" Schrupp of Montevideo, nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband-Clifford, sister, Lorena Schrupp, brothers, Leslie & Arnold Schrupp and a son-in-law, Rev. O.K. Anderson
